The NASW National Conference for Social Work Professionals

A graduate of Simmons College School of Social Work, Dr. Robin Ohringer works as a psychotherapist in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Possessing more than four decades of experience, she primarily helps individuals with issues relating to infertility, single parenting, and work-life balance. Active within the professional community, Dr. Robin Ohringer belongs to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Since 1955, the NASW has developed and maintained professional social work standards and promoted professional growth among its members. The organization achieves these goals in part through holding various events, such as the NASW National Conference. The conference is for social work professionals such as university administrators, government personnel, and practitioners. These professionals come from around the world and represent dozens of practice areas.

The conference lasts for four days and features workshops, keynote speakers, and continuing education opportunities. Titled Shaping Tomorrow Together, the 2018 event is scheduled for June 20 to 23 and will take place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Conference rates range between $415 and $475 for NASW members, while non-member registration rates are from $640 to $699. Students are also encouraged to attend, with their fees ranging from $175 to $225.
